Goodbye Feb - Hello March

Goodbye February.....

February was a great month for sports fans (and I am one) starting with the Superbowl and ending with the Olympics with NASCAR starting in between. You know I had my butt parked in front of the TV for all the excitement. I will say our neighbors to the North did a fantastic job with the Olympics and should be very proud.

Hello March....

March Seasonal Shelf
Growing up in rural N Calif March was one of our favorite months. It meant Spring was just around the corner and it was time to bring out the kites. Also the grass was turning green and we could get some cardboard boxes and make slides on the hills. I wonder if kids still do these things.
A Date....
Tracy and I had our usual "Date" last Thursday and we had a great time. Went to the LNS, the Conservatory at the Belliago, saw the NASCAR car hauler parade and out to a yummy dinner at Outback. We also got lucky at the slots and came home with some extra pennies in our pockets. We were both worn out by the time we got home and slept in really late on Friday.

WIP's......
I really didn't get as much stitching as usual done in February but should get back on track in March. I now have pages 1 & 2 finished on AQC and am working on getting pages 4&5 done before moving on to pages 3&6. I'll have a updated picture later this week as I get another page finished.
"Home of a Needleworker (too)"
I finally finished the House and am about half done with this one. I didn't think I was ever going to finish the windows and door but was easy to stitch while watching the Olympics.

A Finish....
"All Dolled Up-Snowman" by Little House Needleworks
Stitched on 28count Pear Gray Cashel
with Crescent Colours, DMC and Mill Hill Beads
This little guy kept calling to me and since I got the CC thread needed I had to answer the call over the weekend. I had promised myself I would start anything new until I had a finish but I just couldn't resist any longer. I have the charts and fabric for the first two ornaments in the series but still need to pull the threads for them.
That's about it for me for now and I'm sure I have rambled on enough so....
Until Next Time....Have a great week with lot of Stitching time

Beautiful stitching Rene :-)
I love your seasonal shelf, I think it is such a great idea.
Sounds like date night was fun too.
I was glued to the Olympics also, don't know where I will get my 'hot men in lycra' fix now. That could be a dangerous thing to type into a google search! LOL
Look forward to seeing AQC :-)

I love your shelf. Wish I was half as creative as you are. The snowman is adorable. I have a thing for snowpeople also.I am also a NASCAR fan(Go Tony)& now baseball is starting which is my other passion so I will be getting alot of stitching done while watching.

Seasonal shelf is so nice. I didn't get much stitching in Feb either between my Mom's visit & the Olympics, so I'm ready to get back to it too!

I really love the "Home" piece and need to just break down and buy that one for myself.

Your updates always remind me to change my LK monthly series (if I haven't done it already). Your stitching is cute, I just finished a LHN Snowflakes this week. I want to make it a flat fold.....I'll get it done for next winter!!
