Summer Finally Over?

It feels like Summer may finally be over and Autumn has arrived here in the desert. Along with the cooler temps we have had wind but that's the price we have to pay to cool off. The days have been in the low to mid 80's and the nights in the high 60's to low 70's. Makes for great stitching weather and I have done some since my trip to the LNS.

WIP.....
I managed to get 4 more bands done on the "Pansy Sampler" SAL. I can't wait to get the Hardanger part at the end and should be able to get the last couple of bands done this next weekend then the fun begins.

"Pansy Sampler" by Victoria Sampler
Bands 1-7
Finishes.....

I also have a couple of finishes to share. Both are small but were fun to stitch.

First is the ornament that Tracy picked for me to do. I started this when I meet with Nancy at the LNS for a afternoon of stitching. I still need to make it into a ornament and I think I found the perfect fabric for it in my stash.

"Snow Merry" by Homespun Elegance
from the 2009 JCS Ornament Issue
Stitched on 28 count Natural Linen
with DMC and WDW
Next is one of the latest kits I purchased and I just love it. All the details don't show once it was finished into the Roll so I have added a before and after finish so you can see the cute "Frank" and "Witch".

"Halloween Roll" by Shepherds Busk
Kit with 28 count "Tobacco" Cashel Linen, DMC and Mill Hill beads

I think I'm going to look for a cute little Halloween bowl to display the Halloween Needlerolls in, maybe even a Halloween Biscornu if I get one done this year.
This week I'd really like to finish off LK's BOO Club but I also want to kit up JN's "Bats" and get it started, then there is a Biscornu to do......OH MY what do I do.
Until Next Time....Happy Stitching and hope you have a great week with lots of stitching

Really like the ornament Tracey picked out. He is good at that, tell him to keep it up. The Halloween piece is cute too.

Great stitching, Rene! I'll take your temps and weather :) Here, it was rainy and cold (50's-60's) all weekend.

Your stitching is great, Rene. I just adore the Halloween needle roll. It would be great to have your temps here in Montana, since it's almost 40 and snowing right now.

Love the needleroll! Of course, all your stitching is great, as usual.

Don't you have a kitty? HOW do you get her to stay out of your needlerolls and biscornus? My cat walked off with the only biscornu I've ever made a couple years ago, and it has never been seen again!

Lovely finishes! Especially the Hallowe'en ones - I love Hallowe'en stitching, but it still hasn't really caught on around here :o(
