March Already

Where has this year gone? I can't believe it's already March and time for a new Seasonal Shelf. This was a really fun one to do and we found some really cute stuff while shopping at Michaels (and it was all on sale too). I could find a pot for my gold so had to make one by painting a little vase black and adding the coins to it. Not exactly what I wanted but it works until I can find something better.

March Seasonal Shelf
WIP Update....

I got another of the Flip It's done. I really wanted to do the Santa beard with the fuzzy stuff but it just didn't work. I'm not sure if it was the thread, fabric or Me but it was a mess to say the least. I really think the fabric is too tight of a weave for the fuzz and it almost felt like it was being striped away so it was regular threads for Santa. I decided I really want to get this finished so will work on it more with only Mondays off to do Monopoly until it's finished.
Almost time for the NASCAR race here in Vegas and you know what I'll be doing for the rest of the afternoon. GO TONY!!! Go Kyle! We are only about 3 miles from the Speedway so I'll go outside to watch the Thunderbirds fly over and then park myself in my chair for the race.
Until Next Time....Happy Stitching and have a great week

The seasonal shelf looks great Rene, you always find such great props. I think Santa looks just fine how he is. Enjoy your Nascar.

Cute shelf, Rene. Not sure what count you're doing the LK on but when I used the fuzzy stuff I used it with 22ct. Yeah, it was a pain and I found that with 1/2 stitches it worked out OK.

Your shelf looks great Rene.I never worked with the fuzzy stuff, but read on the internet the same trick as Maeari mentioned (1/2 stitches)
